European Union rearms Ukrainians NHK

European Union leaders have seen Western leaders divided over supplying advanced tanks to Ukraine. EU foreign ministers gathered on Monday in Brussels to explore what more they can do for their allies. They agreed on another round of military aid.

The ministers invited their Ukrainian counterpart, Dmytro Kuleba, to join them via video. They approved a package worth about 540 million dollars and more training for Ukrainian soldiers.

EU foreign policy chief Josep Borrell said, "Ukraine has to win this war." He said the EU has contributed more than 50 billion dollars in military, financial and humanitarian aid since the fighting began.
