Tourists in Paris cannot get into the sites they want and have been forced to head to places they would not normally visit. They have found their plans disrupted by protesters angry about pension reforms. Employees of the Louvre forced the museum to close on Monday for the day. They wanted to demonstrate their frustration with President Emmanuel Macron over a new law that raises the retirement age from 62 to 64. Those trying to visit the Eiffel Tower, the Palace of Versailles and other sites have also had to change their plans. Garbage collectors walked out weeks ago, leaving sights and smells residents cannot miss. Some employees have been ordered to return to work to ensure a "minimum service." But protesters have blocked the way at one depot, to prevent crews from heading out. Hundreds of thousands of workers joined in strikes last week that shut down hospitals, schools and railways. They forced Britain's King Charles to postpone a visit. They are planning more walkouts on Tuesday.
