   B: What's up, not much here. Tell me.

A: So, the big news is that Taiwan's largest opposition party, the Kuomintang, has a new leader!
   B: Really? Who is it this time?

A: It's a woman named Cheng Li-wun. She won about half of the votes in the race on Saturday.
   B: Wow, that's impressive! What's special about her?

A: Well, she used to be in Taiwan's Democratic Progressive Party but switched over to the Kuomintang. She's served as a lawmaker and Cabinet spokesperson too.
   B: Oh, I see. So, what's her stance on China then?

A: She's pro-China! During her campaign, she emphasized her support for close relations between China and Taiwan.
   B: That sounds interesting. What else did she say?

A: She vowed to defeat the current party in power, the Democratic Progressive Party, by uniting the opposition forces. And she wants to make the Kuomintang Taiwan's ruling party during her tenure.
   B: Ambitious goals! How does she plan to achieve these?

A: She said they will try to bring about peaceful cross-strait relations and mutual prosperity. The challenge for Cheng is that she needs to strengthen the party in preparation for Taiwan's next presidential election, which is scheduled for 2028.
   B: That sounds like a tough task ahead! Good luck to her though!
