Ukraine's military says Russian forces have carried out a drone attack for a second-straight night targeting infrastructure, including port facilities, in areas along the Danube River in the southern region of Odesa. Regional authorities said the country's military shot down 17 drones. However, they reported that warehouses and factories in Izmail were damaged, and fires broke out at several locations. The Russian military had said it carried out a drone attack in early hours of Sunday on fuel depots in Reni along the Danube. Izmail and other areas on the river are serving as bases for an alternative route for the export of Ukrainian agricultural products, instead of through the Black Sea. Ukraine's deputy defense minister Hanna Maliar said on Monday that their forces had some success in a settlement south of Bakhmut in the eastern region of Donetsk. She also said Ukrainian forces continue their offensive operation in the Melitopol direction in the southern region of Zaporizhzhia. Maliar also reported that troops are solidifying their positions in Novoprokopivka and elsewhere. Novoprokopivka is about four kilometers south of Robotyne, which Ukraine claimed to have recaptured last month. The number of casualties is rising in Ukraine. Authorities have said one person was killed and five were wounded in both the Donetsk and Kherson regions following Russian attacks.
