A: Hey, John-san! Got any news?

B: Not really, why?

A: Well, a group of school kids and teachers on a field trip got attacked by a bear in Canada yesterday!

B: Oh no, who was hurt?

A: Three kids and one teacher. Two are critical right now. Sounds like a big grizzly bear did it.

B: A grizzly bear, you say? The big ones, huh?

A: Yeah! They're native to North America and can be over 2 meters long. Kinda like the brown bears we see here in Japan.

B: I didn't know that! So what happened exactly?

A: Apparently they were walking on a forest trail, and the bear just showed up out of nowhere. Local officials say there have been more reports this year of bears entering homes and properties.

B: Seems like there are more attacks recently. Didn't hunting them get banned in Canada?

A: That's right! They stopped hunting grizzlies in 2017, but it looks like the number of attacks has been increasing since then.

B: Wow, that's scary. Hope those kids and teacher recover soon.
