Britain's Defence Ministry says an analysis of satellite images shows that a Ukraine drone strike against a Russian ammunition depot early this month destroyed almost all ammunition stored there.

The governor of the western Russian region of Voronezh neighboring Ukraine said on July 7 on social media that a Ukrainian drone attack started a fire at the warehouse. It then detonated explosives and caused an explosion.

The British Defence Ministry said on Wednesday in its intelligence update on social media that Ukraine conducted a drone strike against a Russian ammunition depot in Voronezh, and the attack resulted in almost total destruction of ammunition stored in the facility.

The ministry said this is a significant loss at a depot that reportedly covers approximately 9 square kilometers.

The ministry provided satellite images of the Russian depot taken before and after the drone strike to show the extent of the damage.

The ministry points out that this incident further highlights a decline in Russia's air defense capabilities. The ministry says this will stretch Russia's already struggling logistics chains all the more.

Meanwhile, a spokesperson for Ukraine's Navy said on Wednesday that Russia has withdrawn all its ships from the Sea of Azov, which connects to the Black Sea. He said there are no longer any Russian vessels in the Sea of Azov, where Russia's Black Sea Fleet used to have ships deployed.

A recent wave of Ukraine maritime drone attacks has apparently forced Russia to relocate its ships from there to a navy base in the south.
