B: No way! Really? Where?

A: In Milan! They built them in six different areas because the games are spread out.

B: Wow, six areas? That's a big region! What’s it like?

A: They showed the media one village, it's in an old train yard. It's for about 1,700 people! Figure skaters and speed skaters too!

B: Cool! I wonder where the Japanese team is staying?

A: Guess what?! They showed us the building where the Japanese athletes will live! They’ve got Japanese flags everywhere, and "TEAM JAPAN" banners!

B: Awesome! I bet they feel at home. What’s inside?

A: Everything! Dining rooms, gymnastics spaces... I even saw Shinhama Tatsuya, the speed skater, practicing there!

B: Seriously?! He’s getting ready already! Anything else special?

A: Yeah! There’s a message board. People are writing messages – some are hoping for peace. There are signatures from the Japanese athletes too.

B: That’s so sweet! Did anyone important say anything?

A: Harada Masahiko, a former gold medalist, was talking to reporters. He used to compete in ski jumping!

B: Oh wow! What did he say?

A: He said the village is made to help the athletes do their best. He thinks Italy is being super welcoming and the atmosphere is great!

B: That’s amazing! What happens to the village after the Olympics?

A: It's going to be used for the Paralympics first. Then it'll be a dorm for students!

B: That’s so clever! Recycling the space, you know? I hope our athletes do well!
