1. On December 14th, a traditional year-end ritual was held at Shinkyo Bridge in Tochigi Prefecture, serving as an entrance to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Shrines and Temples of Nikko. 2. During the event, priests and maidens cleaned the bridge using bamboo poles with bamboo leaves attached, a practice that welcomes people from various countries. 3. The cleaning was led by Futarasan Shrine priest Suto Shigenari, who expressed hope for everyone's happiness in the new year. Additional year-end cleanings are planned at other sites in Nikko, including Rinnoji Temple and Yomeimon gate.
