US semiconductor giant Nvidia is moving to build chips and servers for artificial intelligence entirely in the United States for the first time.
Nvidia announced on Monday that it will invest as much as half a trillion dollars in AI infrastructure in the country within the next four years. The plans include domestic production of Nvidia's leading-edge generative-AI chips called Blackwell with its manufacturing partners.
