A fire at a ship maintenance yard in Osaka City in western Japan has left seven workers injured. They were taken to hospital and are reportedly conscious.
Police and firefighters received an emergency call on Thursday afternoon that a ship was on fire following an explosion at the maintenance yard in Nishinari Ward.
The blaze was put out two hours later. Two of the ship's engines were damaged.
Police say workers were welding and cleaning inside the ship when the fire broke out. They are investigating the cause.
