USGS: Magnitude 7.4 earthquake strikes off coast of Russia's Kamchatka Peninsula NHK

A: Hey there! Heard anything interesting lately?
B: Not much, just the usual. What's up?

A: So, there was this earthquake off Russia's Kamchatka Peninsula early Sunday morning.
B: Oh really? Did it cause any trouble?

A: Well, it was quite a big one - 7.4 on the scale! It happened at about 6:49 a.m. UTC.
B: Whoa, that's pretty strong! Any tsunami warnings?

A: Yeah, there might be some waves in Russia, around 0.3 to 1 meter above tide level. But for places like Hawaii, the northwestern Hawaiian Islands, Midway Island, and even here in Japan, it's just less than 0.3 meters.
B: Phew, that's good to know! Thanks for letting me know, buddy!
