Ukraine's capital has come under fire again. The country is accusing Russia of a new wave of attacks.
Kyiv was rocked by multiple explosions early Monday morning. Ukraine's presidential office says the attacks were carried out by suicide drones, killing at least three people.
Officials say Iranian-made suicide drones were used to attack Kyiv last week. Russian forces have recently conducted multiple missile attacks on Ukrainian cities. Moscow claims they were retaliation for the October 8 bombing of a bridge linking Russia and Crimea.
Meanwhile, Ukrainian forces appear to be advancing in their counteroffensive in the south, regaining control of more area as they head toward the city of Kherson.
Ukraine's military says Russia may have begun moving employees and property of banks and a pension fund from areas it controls in the region.
They are reportedly heading to Crimea, which was annexed by Russia in 2014. The pro-Moscow group controlling the Kherson region is calling on residents to evacuate.
The British defense ministry says logistical issues faced by Russian forces in southern Ukraine have likely become more acute following the bridge explosion.
It says supply routes through the Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia regions have become more important to sustain Russia's occupation.
The mayor of Moscow says partial mobilization in the city has been completed. He says reservists no longer need to visit military offices on call-up notices.
Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered the mobilization in September, aiming to conscript 300,000 reservists. He said last week about 220,000 had already been called up, and the rest would be mobilized in the next two weeks.
