Russia's Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and China's top diplomat Wang Yi held talks in Moscow on Wednesday.

Lavrov said the two countries enjoy a steady and dynamic development in their relations and maintained close cooperation despite global turbulence.

In an apparent reference to souring relations with the United States, he said people in Russia and China are willing to work together to protect each other's interests.

Wang said the two countries have maintained a high level of partnership under the strategic leadership of Xi Jinping and Vladimir Putin.

He said no matter how the international situation changes, China remains committed, together with Russia, to develop relations between major powers.
