A co-chair of Nihon Hidankyo, a Japanese organization of atomic bomb survivors that won this year&#039;s Nobel Peace Prize, said he is ready to deliver a speech at next week&#039;s award ceremony that will convey to the world the consequences of nuclear bombs.
                
Delegation members, who will attend the ceremony on December 10 in the Norwegian capital Oslo, held a news conference in Tokyo on Monday.
                
Nihon Hidankyo co-chair Tanaka Terumi said he wants the Nobel Peace Prize recognition to prompt a feeling among people that nuclear weapons across the globe must be eliminated, and that action must be taken to this end. He added that he hopes that such action will result in a major movement.
                
Tanaka also revealed that he has already written his speech.
                
He reflected that he was so immersed in preparing it that he even had dreams about it.
                
Tanaka explained that people are not aware of how a nuclear bomb inflicts harm against humans. He said just calling it inhumane will not spark a person&#039;s imagination and that he wants to describe the truly substantial damage a nuclear weapon can cause.
                
The delegates will leave Japan for Norway next Sunday. They will take part in the ceremony and related events, while sharing their experiences with young people there.
