Trump: Will know 'within two weeks' if Putin intends to end Ukraine invasion NHK

A: Hey buddy! Have you caught the news lately?

B: Nah, what's up?

A: Well, President Trump is talking about negotiations between Russia and Ukraine.

B: Oh yeah? What did he say about Putin wanting to end the war?

A: He said we'll know within two weeks if Putin intends to stop the invasion. He also mentioned that he's going to check if Putin is being honest with them.

B: So, what will happen if Putin is deceiving them?

A: Trump said they'll respond a bit differently if Putin is messing around with them. But he didn't say exactly what steps he's going to take.

B: I see... And how does he feel about all of this?

A: He's disappointed about the recent attacks on Ukraine and said he's very frustrated. Even wrote that Putin is playing with fire on social media!

B: That sounds intense. Why isn't he imposing new sanctions on Moscow then?

A: Trump thinks if he gets close to a deal, he doesn't want to mess it up by doing that.

B: Wow, it's really complicated stuff!
