Russian defense officials released a video on Tuesday showing naval forces firing on and boarding a commercial ship in the Black Sea. The move comes after Russia pulled out of a deal that allowed exports of grain through the waters. The ship carried the flag of the Pacific island nation Palau. Officials say the captain of the ship was asked to stop for a cargo inspection on Sunday. However, the Russians received no response and fired warning shots at the vessel. It was the first time Russian forces have fired on a commercial ship since withdrawing last month from the Black Sea Grain Initiative.
