Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has welcomed Japanese Prime Minister Kishida Fumio's visit to Ukraine.
Zelenskyy said in a social media message posted on Tuesday night that he was "pleased to welcome to Kyiv a truly powerful defender of the international order and a longtime friend of Ukraine."
He also released a video that is about two minutes long. The video shows Zelenskyy welcoming Kishida, shaking hands with him, and posing with him for photographs in a room decorated with Ukrainian and Japanese national flags. The video also shows Japanese and Ukrainian delegates participating in a meeting.
This is apparently an effort to highlight the friendly relations between the two countries.
