A: Oh, you didn't hear? There's a missing guy in Hokkaido, looks like he got attacked by a bear near Mount Rausu.
B: Whoa, that sounds serious! What happened?
A: They say it was his climbing partner who was dragged away by the bear. The guy called for help at around 11:10 on Thursday, saying his friend got attacked around 20 minutes before.
B: That's terrible... I hope they find him soon. Did he see what happened?
A: Yeah, he said he heard his friend calling from about 200 meters away while they were descending the trail. Then he saw his friend fighting off a bear. He tried to scare it away but it dragged his friend into the woods instead.
B: That's horrible... I hope they find him safe. Mount Rausu, right? It's where bears live, isn't it?
A: Exactly! Rescuers had to airlift about 70 climbers from the mountain on Thursday and they're checking if anyone else is still there based on reports that some climbers were near the summit. Let's hope everyone is safe.
