The White House doctor says President Joe Biden's biopsy in February confirmed he had a kind of skin cancer called basal cell carcinoma. The physician said the cancerous tissue was successfully removed. Physician Kevin O'Connor said in a memorandum on Friday that a skin lesion was removed from Biden's chest as part of his comprehensive health assessment last month, and the tissue was sent for biopsy. He said the site of the biopsy has healed and no further treatment is required. The memorandum said basal cell carcinoma lesions do not tend to spread, and that the president will continue dermatological surveillance. At 80, Biden is now the oldest president in US history.
