A: Hey, Yuki! Got any news today? B: Not really, why? A: Well, it looks like our Foreign Ministry's director-guy is heading to China soon. B: Really? What's up with that? A: He wants to talk about the thing Prime Minister Takaichi said about Taiwan, apparently it's causing a bit of a ruckus over there. B: Oh, I see. So he's gonna explain that she didn't mean anything bad by it, right? A: Exactly! And he wants to keep things between us from getting too tense and affecting our people interactions. B: That sounds wise. Also, there was this post on Chinese social media... not so nice about Takaichi's remark. Our consul-general in Osaka is behind it, and some folks want him kicked out of Japan! B: But I guess the guy from our Foreign Ministry will tell them to chill out about that too. A: Yep, they better respond appropriately or there could be trouble ahead. By the way, both countries have already complained to each other and China's been asking their people to avoid Japan lately. B: That's not good... Hope things don't get any worse between us! A: Yeah, let's hope so. The government is trying to keep an eye on China's moves through high-level talks between our foreign ministry officials, hoping to cool things down before they escalate.
