B: Not really, what's going on?

A: Trump just had a meeting with Ukrainian and European leaders about organizing a summit with Russia! Crazy, right?

B: Whoa, that sounds big! But I thought there was still a conflict between them...

A: Yeah, well Trump says a ceasefire isn't needed for the summit. He also talked to Putin and it went pretty good, from what I heard.

B: Oh, Zelenskyy said Russia suggested a trilateral summit. He's ready to talk about territorial issues with them.

A: Exactly! The US isn't sending troops, but Trump mentioned some sort of security guarantees for our allies in Europe.

B: Hmm... Zelenskyy hinted at a "package of weapons," and he thinks they'll work out the details soon.

A: Yeah, it seems like Putin will decide when to meet with Zelenskyy. It might take some time, though, so they don't upset Trump.

B: Wait, I heard that German Chancellor is planning a summit between Putin and Zelenskyy in the next two weeks! Crazy!

A: Really? That'd be the first meeting since the invasion started... but who knows if it'll actually happen or not.

B: Yeah, I guess we'll see what happens next!
