1. Asahi Group Holdings, a major Japanese beer and beverage company, is still recovering from a cyberattack that occurred on September 29th, causing system outages, affecting their ability to process orders, ship products, and handle customer inquiries.
2. Due to this situation, other Japanese beer makers like Kirin Holdings, Suntory Holdings, and Sapporo Holdings have experienced an influx of orders from restaurants and drinking establishments that were previously buying from Asahi.
3. Asahi has partially resumed production at 15 of its approximately 30 factories as of Monday. They are currently shipping six products of their mainstay Super Dry brand, with plans to resume partial shipments of 16 whisky and beer-like beverage products from October 15th.
