Officials with one of Japan's biggest airlines are testing out a self-driving cargo vehicle at Tokyo's Haneda Airport.

All Nippon Airways staff put the autonomous mini-truck through its paces on Tuesday.

The carrier is set to be the first self-driving vehicle at a Japanese airport.

ANA and a second company came up with the design to transport containers of luggage and other items to the aircraft.

They say each one of the driverless machines will free up two human workers.

ANA wants to introduce the system next year.
