Ukraine says the death toll from Sunday's Russian ballistic missile strikes on the northeastern city of Sumy has climbed to 34, including two children. It adds 117 others were wounded. The head of Ukraine's presidential office, Andriy Yermak, said the two missiles used in the attacks contained cluster munitions to kill as many people as possible. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy posted a comment on social media. He accused Russia of continuing to ignore a ceasefire proposal offered by US President Donald Trump's administration. Zelenskyy said Russia will continue to drag out the war without strong pressure and is confident that it can afford to keep killing. Zelenskyy called on the world not to remain silent. He stressed that pressure should be applied to Russia to end the war and guarantee the safety of the people. Leaders of European countries, including France and Britain, are also condemning Russia for continuing deadly attacks on civilians against the backdrop of ceasefire talks. French President Emmanuel Macron took to social media on Sunday. He stated it is clear that Russia alone chooses to continue the war "with blatant disregard for... the diplomatic efforts of President Trump." Macron also said, "Strong measures are needed to impose a ceasefire on Russia."
